Position: Health Safety and Environment Officer
Location: Lagos Mainland, Nigeria
Salary: N125,000 Monthly

Health Safety and Environment Officer Job In Nigeria
Responsibilities
-To do a survey and identify unsafe conditions
-To develop safety checkpoints and controls
-To conduct emergency mock drills
-To train the employees and prepare for emergency preparedness
-To propagate and spread the importance of safety
-To investigate the incidents of accidents
-To prepare HSE plans and exercise them through safety committees
-To inspect the workplace and machinery and its maintenance.
-To participate collaboratively with all functional heads in safety committee meetings and knock off unsafe conditions.
-To review the service providers’ safety precautions
-To maintain a safety log book and update it periodically with the status of safety concerns noted.
-To initiate 5s practices in the working environment
-To inspect the office vehicle’s safe conditions by verifying the maintenance record.
-To inspect the machinery and electrical panels by verifying it’s maintenance record.
-To facilitate and promote safe practices and recognize the followers.
-To have a rapport with local hospitals, to take their service in case of emergency
-To performs other roles as may be required from time to time, advised by the functional head and the Management.
Interested candidates should have worked in manufacturing industries, Fertilizer, Trading, Chemical, FMCG, and Agricultural Products.
Qualification: HND/BSc
Years of experience: 2 – 3 years
