Description
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an EHS Manager at its key location in Santa Clarita, CA. Working closely with the local leadership team, the EHS Manager will be tasked with implementing and maintaining effective EHS programs and policies at the facility, working to minimize safety risks, and ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
The Role:
- Implement, develop, and maintain appropriate EHS policies, strategies, standards, and training.
- Manage various safety programs such as machine guarding and lock out/tag out, and conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Perform necessary EHS safety inspections of work environments in compliance with relevant government regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with upper leadership and lead and mentor a team of direct reports.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline
- 7+ years of hands-on EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong safety knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations
